The use of a nipo flange is popular in the piping industry. It combines elements of the welding neck flange, weldolet, and nipolet. Most of them are 90-degree branch connectors. It is a ring or disc that is attached to the pipe and can give it additional support and strength. Bolts connect the pipe ends, which are bolted or soldered, to the flanges.
